

South Sudanese Women Association in Uganda (SSWAU) is a non-profit community based organization managed by an executive committee which consists of women from the different communities of the ten states of South Sudan.
Objectives:

To promote peace, reconciliation and unity among South Sudanese communities.

To empower women and youth by building their capacity through training and non formal education

To create and sustain a culture of human rights especially towards women and children by promoting human rights education and awareness

To support vulnerable women, children and youth through counseling and justice systems
Activities:

Peace building and conflict resolution workshops.

Seminars on women empowerment, health, home economics, civic education and entrepreneurship.

Fundraising through exhibitions and dinners for supporting vulnerable women, children and youth.

Advocacy campaigns on human, children’s and women’s rights.
